Welcome
Le Bouyssou

Le Bouyssou at Loupiac (previously a rural farm, dating from the 1840’s) is situated on the border of the Aveyron and Lot departments, in the south of France, which boast some of the most spectacular scenery and sites of interest in the whole of the country. To all, the area reveals itself to be one of the best kept secrets, which does not fail to surprise and delight.

The Aveyron itself can offer its visitors ten of the ‘Most Beautiful Villages in France’, the highest concentration of any department of the country. The landscape is breathtaking and wildly varied (mountains, gorges, rolling ‘causses’, medieval villages, woodland abundant with the fruits of nature which find their way into the regions famous and satisfying cuisine – foie gras, confit de canard, aligot, tripoux...).

La Bergerie is a stone barn conversion situated in the tranquil grounds of Le Bouyssou 1 km from the pretty village of Loupiac and is completely surrounded by fields, woodland and beautiful valley vistas. Step out of the door and walk in any direction for miles and encounter picturesque hamlets, watermills, wooded glades and total peace. More...

La Bergerie offers exceptional spacious private accommodation, beautiful interiors, terraces and gardens with a large natural saltwater system swimming pool. The property sleeps up to 6 people (plus infant in cot or infants depending on occupancy level) and is available to rent throughout the year for self catering holidays. La Bergerie is ideally situated between the delightful 13c bastide town of Villefranche de Rougergue and Figeac (which has been heralded by the British press as 'the finest small town in France') and is the perfect base for a French holiday.

The French have an expression, ‘se ressourcer’, which has no equivalent in the English language but refers to a holiday which ‘transports one to something authentic and pure and restores one’s physical and spiritual strength’. This term encapsulates the ethos behind the experience that we offer visitors here at La Bergerie au Bouyssou.
